"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me [that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth [have been] from of old, from everlasting."

Micah 5:2

Coming this month:

December 2nd
Many people in our world, including a portion of the Christian community, do not believe God still has plans for the nation of Israel. What does the Bible really say about the Church replacing Israel? Romans chapter 11 is a key in regard to this subject. Since God still has plans to bring the nation of Israel to true belief in the Lord Jesus as the Messiah one day, then the Jewish people of today must have a special place in the hearts of all Christians. In addition, the present situation with Israel in her land at this time becomes especially relevant when it comes to Israel in prophecy. It should also help us understand why Israel is surrounded by conflict today. It all comes down to what the Bible really teaches on this important topic and this is what Steve Sorensen will speak on today. Mr. Sorensen is the pastor of the Community Bible Church of Highland, Maryland and also ministers and evangelizes over WRBS radio, 95.1 FM each Sunday evening at 10:00pm on a program called Inside The Word.

December 9th
Fellowship and elections are the focus of today's activities. The fellowship will include good conversation and light snacks. Please contact Doug Chinn (x4-6778) to find out what you can bring. The Club will also hold its annual meeting with the election of officers for the coming year.

December 16th
Take a walk through history with Charlton Heston as he visits the Holy Land and see great literature come to life. This video starts with an humble birth in a Bethlehem Ephratah manger and is shot on location.

"And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
Luke 2:4-7
