"Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto the LORD."
Leviticus 23:16-17

Coming this month:

May 4th
When someone mentions The Amish, what comes to your mind? Backward? Quaint? Old-Fashioned? Yes, their ways don't match our fast-paced, technologically dependent world, but would we benefit from some of the simplicity of the lifestyle of these fascinating and intriguing people? Today's video will take us inside the world of The Amish.

May 11th
Today, Dr. Francis Schaeffer will discuss the "Renaissance" along with names like Dante, Leonardo DeVinci, and Michelangelo. This was to be a period of "Rebirth" after the "Dark Ages",but in the video, Dr. Schaeffer will show us how this turned from humanism to pessimism.

May 18th
Mr. Neil Martin will be going into more detail concerning "Financial Stability Through The Seasons of Life" Neil has labeled these "seasons":

  • Building the Foundation
  • Framing the Future
  • Moving into Maturity
  • Celebrating Seniority
Come and find out which season you fit into and find about the "Famous Last Words".

May 25th
Today Mr. Neil Martin will finish his series on Biblical Finances with a talk he has titled "Christian Investment Principles". This seminar discusses a Biblical approach to investing our surplus. We'll discuss establishing a contingency fund for the emergencies of life, followed by investing for future needs such as retirement, college, family needs, etc. If you're developing a surplus but don't know how to go about investing it in today's volatile market, be sure to join us for some good tips to get started!

President's Notes:

We normally break for the summer after Memorial Day, but this year we are going to try something different: extending our meetings to see the full length video of the life of Martin Luther. See June's newsletter for details.

"But now Christ has been raised from the death, the first fruits of those that are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the death. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming".
I Corinthians 15:20-23
