The Greenbelt Association for the Visual Arts (GAVA) holds short courses in childrens art, drawing and painting, ceramics, and other arts and crafts. Most courses meet once a week for 2 to 3 hours, running between 6 and 8 sessions. Daytime and evening classes.
This Prince Georges County arts facility is located on the grounds of the Montpelier Mansion. The center has several galleries and studio space for painting and drawing, sculpture and ceramics, printmaking, fiber art, and other arts and crafts. They also have an Artist-In-Residence program.
Montpelier offers a full range of studio art courses for adults and kids, both daytime and evenings. Most courses meet once a week for 2 to 3 hours, running between 4 and 10 sessions.
This Anne Arundel County arts facility is housed in the former Annapolis High School. The center has several galleries and studio space for painting and drawing, sculpture and ceramics, printmaking, fiber art, and other arts and crafts. They have an Artist-In-Residence program and several Studio Co-operatives for artists working independently.
In addition, the Hall has facilities and classes in music, dance, and theater arts.

The Maryland College of Art and Design is a two-year accredited college with programs in fine art and visual communication. They also have "a full and varied program of continuing education courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and computer graphics."
