Garden Club News

Gardeners:
I have an excessive amount of pumpkin, zucchini, and yellow squash seed.
Last year powdery mildew was a real problem for these plants on our
plot. My husband and I did a lot of research, and have since identified
species that are resistant to this disease. However, the seed was only
available in farmer's commercial packs (250 seed/pack) so we ended up
paying over $30.00 for the seed.
Anyone interested in getting some of the seeds from us at cost please
contact me or my husband, Kevin. The varieties and costs are given below.
Given that these are commercial seed --they ARE treated with anti-fungals,
which enhance germination. You can view detailed descriptions of the
varieties at the weblinks. On each web page is a link (top left of photo)
entitled "view chart" which will bring up a chart that gives days to
maturity, disease resistance, growing habits, etc.
