Spring 2002 10K Run: April 24, 2002 Individual Results

The Spring 2002 GSFC 10K run had initially been scheduled for Wednesday April 17; the Wednesday immediately following the GSFC 2 Mile Fun Run event. However on Monday 15 April, weather forecasters were predicting 95-degree F heat for Wednesday. Not wanting either volunteers or runners to become overly-heated, GROC club officials decided to move the race to Wednesday 24 April. We got lucky. The 10K race day was lovely. Cooler termperatures and light breezes made for an enjoyable environment. GROC regrets any confusion that may have occurred because of the scheduling change. We really are concerned for the welfare of our event participants. Thanks to all those volunteers and runners who came out.
