GODDARD AUTOMOBILE CLUB CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I -NAME

The name of this organization shall be the Goddard Automobile Club.

 

ARTICLE II -PURPOSE

The purpose of this organization shall be the education and mutual improvement of its members in the operation and maintenance of automobiles. No part of the net income of this group shall inure to the benefit of any of its members or any private individual, except for providing instructional services and related supplies.

 

ARTICLE III -MEMBERSHIP

Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and GSFC contract employees and immediate family members only shall be admitted to membership in this group and will be governed in accordance with its By-Laws. Guest Affiliations are permitted for limited purposes and in strict compliance with the By-Laws.

 

ARTICLE IV -OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES

The Officers of this organization shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Facilities Chairman. Trustees shall consist of former elected Club Officers currently in good standing and shall serve as nongoverning advisors to the Officers on matters of Club history, membership, discipline and spending. The Officers and Trustees shall serve without remuneration.

 

ARTICLE V -AMENDMENTS

Section 1     Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, this Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote in a duly assembled meeting, a quorum being present, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given at the preceding meeting.

Section 2     No amendment of this Constitution that would require reorganization or dissolution shall be made except by a three fourths (3/4) vote in a duly assembled meeting, a quorum being present, and provided that written notice of the proposed amendment was duly mailed, twenty-one (21) days prior to such meeting, to each Member in good standing.
