Field Trip UMD golf course Kristin is leading this outing.

Meet at 6:00am at the club house. Kristin will wait ~10 minutes for people to show, then head out. It's no problem if you're late, you're welcome to start on your own. The field trip will last until ~8am. There is a golf outing scheduled that day at 8:30, and we should be off the course before then. Being there that early should increase the chances of wildlife viewing!

The University of Maryland Golf Course partners with Audubon International for Audubon’s annual ‘BioBlitz’ - a free species counting competition designed to showcase the environmental value of the natural habitats found on your golf course. (copied from the website)
It involves a photo contest! (through Audubon International. We don’t yet know the details of this contest)
Bioblitz is May 11 – Jun 23 (World Migratory Bird Day through National Pollinator Week)

Snap & Share Shoot it 5 Ways Shoot the same subject in 5 different ways: different lighting, different angles, different processing/effects, different times of year. Try to create a completely different feel or emotion with each photo.

INSPIRATION from someone shooting the same thing for a month! And another! And yet one more!

Perhaps we'll make collages that would go into the B1 cafe exhibit.

Event Intern Orientation We will be supporting this year's summer intern orientation process. The Office of Education has set space aside in Building 8 for a showcase style networking table fair. Interns will be encouraged to stop by each table to learn about some of Goddard Directorates, Advisory Committees, Clubs and more. The Photo Club will be there. If you'd like to volunteer for this 90-minute commitment, please contact Nancy Rosenbaum. 8-9:30am

5pm
Patuxent River Park

Eliot Malumuth has arranged with the Patuxent River Park naturalist Greg Kearns for up to 20 photographers to go out on his pontoon boat while he bands osprey. There will be an opportunity to see (and photograph) adults and babies up close. The cost is $20 for PG County and Montgomery County residents and $26 for others.

Snap & Share Symmetry We will have a practice "judging" session for Keith Chamberlin, who has attended the MPA judging course. As part of his certification, he needs to judge photo competitions. While this Snap & Share won't be a competition, it will be critiqued by Keith, so he can gain experience doing this.

Please submit just THREE photos per person, so we have time for Keith's input. In addition, your early entry into the Snap & Share folder is appreciated, so Keith can take an early look at the photos.
